Kootenai County Planning Seeks Input

David Callahan was contacted on the matter of the planning meeting. Although the website, shown below states they are looking for feedback, they actually aren’t. They have heard the feedback and had letters submitted to then through KMPO and other methods for years. They refuse to have the highway on the Coeur d’Alene side of the city boundaries where there is currently open field. They also refuse to hear that the project is not required if they address the design issues they created with SR-41 and I-95.

Their mindset is fixed and closed. They don’t see a way around destroying this area to improve traffic. However, there are always ways. When people work together on a hard problem, better results come out. It is concerning to see that people we have placed in charge of our future are so closed minded and unwilling to work with the community they represent.
